While Racine Horlick might've come up empty on Friday, Vinny Vlach wasn't going down without a fight. Vlach was dynamite, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
