Volleyball Recap: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. Columbiana Clippers
After flying high against Valley Christian on Monday, East Palestine came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Columbiana Clippers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 15th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-13.
East Palestine's offense was headlined by Amara Wilson and Destiney Burtyk, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kennedy Andre and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
East Palestine now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Columbiana, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. East Palestine will venture away from home to square off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbiana, they will head out to take on Southern at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
