Football Game Preview: Potlatch Loggers vs. Kamiah Kubs + How To Watch

The Potlatch Loggers will head out to square off against the Kamiah Kubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Potlatch has given up an average of 38.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Potlatch is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Prairie, who was ranked sixth at the time (Potlatch was ranked 11th). The Loggers lost 58-38 to the Pirates on Friday. The Loggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-14, which was the final score in Kamiah's tilt against Kendrick on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Kubs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Potlatch will have to keep a close watch on Everett Oatman and Lawson Landmark, a pair of players who had a big impact on Kamiah's prior game. Oatman gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns, while Landmark threw for 130 yards and one TD on only 12 passes. Oatman's longest reception was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Potlatch's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Kamiah, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Potlatch took a serious blow against Kamiah in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 46-12. Can the Loggers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
