Basketball Game Preview: Leadership Academy Falcons vs. Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals

The Leadership Academy Falcons will face off against the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leadership Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season.

Leadership Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed by Bethany Community to the tune of 72-39. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Wolves are ranked 622nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Graham Hronich led the charge by as he made all 5 shots he took racking up 12 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Hronich is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Caden Ryker was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight assists and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Triad Math and Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 66-44 to Phoenix Academy.

Triad Math and Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Everything came up roses for Leadership Academy against Triad Math and Science Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 71-29 victory.
