Baseball Game Preview: Beverly Panthers vs. Salem Witches

The Beverly Panthers will challenge the Salem Witches at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Beverly will be strutting in after a win while Salem will be coming in after a loss.

Beverly's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Danvers by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Salem didn't have quite enough to beat Gloucester on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Rocco Ryan put in work no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. That one earned run gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ryan wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jack Tsoutsouras, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Beverly, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
