Volleyball Recap: A.L. Brown Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hough, A.L. Brown was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hopewell Titans.

The victory didn't come easy: Hopewell scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Ein Austin paced A.L. Brown's offense, picking up 15 kills. Austin got some help from Vinny Nguyen and his 37 assists. Nguyen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

A.L. Brown's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hopewell, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, A.L. Brown will head out on the road to challenge North Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wonders are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Hopewell has already played their next game (against Berry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
