If Gaston was feeling good fresh off their 12-6 takedown of Nestucca on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds lost 15-3 to the Santiam Christian Eagles on Monday. The Greyhounds' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gaston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Bozich, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Santiam Christian, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaston will face off against Vernonia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santiam Christian, they will head out to take on Taft at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
