Baseball Recap: City View Takes a Loss

City View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Jacksboro Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Tuesday.

City View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Campos, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

City View's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Jacksboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. City View will challenge Iowa Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jacksboro, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Holliday at 7:00 p.m.
