Zeigler-Royalton won the last time they faced Shawnee and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tornadoes had just enough and edged out the Redskins 2-1.

Zeigler-Royalton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-22.

The win got Zeigler-Royalton back to even at 4-4. As for Shawnee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zeigler-Royalton will challenge Goreville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shawnee, they will be playing at home against Dongola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Redskins their first taste of in-conference action this season.
