Softball Preview: DeWitt Dragons vs. McGehee Owls
DeWitt is 7-1 against McGehee since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Dragons will look to defend their home field against the Owls at 5:00 p.m. DeWitt will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
McGehee's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: DeWitt hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Dragons' pitcher stepped up to hand Star City a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to NECI HILL's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
