Volleyball Recap: Western Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hastings on Wednesday, Western came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Lakewood Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Western's defeat dropped their record down to 23-5-1. As for Lakewood, they moved to 15-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Western and Lakewood will both be playing Pewamo-Westphalia the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
