Basketball Game Preview: North Farmington Raiders vs. Athens Red Hawks

The North Farmington Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Athens Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Farmington is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Adams and fell 55-23.

Meanwhile, Athens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Avondale 67-26. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 92nd).

North Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Athens, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

North Farmington came up short against Athens in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 50-44. Can North Farmington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
