Soccer Recap: St. Anthony's Takes a Loss

St. Anthony's game on Sunday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Francis Prep Terriers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as St. Anthony's came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while St. Francis Prep are ranked 71st).

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for St. Francis Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Anthony's will host St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Francis Prep, they will be playing at home against Archbishop Molloy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
