Basketball Recap: Cooper Piles Up the Points Against Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy

Cooper entered their tilt with Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They claimed a resounding 74-18 win over Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy. With the Bulldogs ahead 42-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Cooper got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was John Ramos out in front who posted 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Beachley Bills, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Cooper smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Cooper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy, their defeat was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cooper will venture away from home to face off against North Hopkins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Hopkins will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight.
