The Junction City Bluejays are taking a road trip to challenge the Hays Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

While Bluejays fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They put the hurt on Atchison with a sharp 74-51 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bluejays have posted since February 2nd.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Hays on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Liberal out of the water with a 70-34 final score. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Junction City beat Hays 58-48 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Junction City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
