Basketball Game Preview: Booker Tornadoes vs. Imagine School at North Port Sharks

The Booker Tornadoes will face off against the Imagine School at North Port Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Booker is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 79-70 to Riverview Sarasota on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Tornadoes still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Booker got top-tier performance from Chris Perets, who posted 22 points. With that strong performance, Perets is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of J.P Lattimore, who put up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Imagine School at North Port hadn't done well against Saint Stephen's Episcopal recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Imagine School at North Port walked away with a 57-45 win over Saint Stephen's Episcopal. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Imagine School at North Port's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Booker, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.

Booker strolled past Imagine School at North Port when the teams last played back in January by a score of 59-43. Will Booker repeat their success, or does Imagine School at North Port have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
