Basketball Recap: Whiting Oilers vs. Calumet New Tech Warriors
Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Calumet New Tech Warriors, falling 72-48. If the Oilers were looking for revenge after losing 78-61 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Johnny Hudson was a one-man wrecking crew for Calumet New Tech as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds gave Hudson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lawrence Wesby, who went 6 of 8 en route to 13 points.
Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Calumet New Tech, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
