Softball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers, falling 17-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 25th.

Douglas is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-5. As for Yamhill-Carlton, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Douglas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Dayton on the 19th. As for Yamhill-Carlton, they will challenge Astoria at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Tigers have won six straight at home, while the Fishermen won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
