The Fort Frye Cadets will face off against the River Pilots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Frye is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Fort Frye after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Point Pleasant by a score of 9-8. The Cadets haven't had much luck with the Big Blacks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Maddie Hinton was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those runs were her first of the season. Faith Treadway was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for River's offense. They came up short against Caldwell on Wednesday, falling 8-0.

Fort Frye's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for River, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Fort Frye was able to grind out a solid win over River when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 12-7. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pilots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
