Seneca hadn't done well against Monett recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Indians never let the Cubs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The one-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Monett, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

When Seneca and Monett next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Indians will try to stop Purdy's six-game winning streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
