Volleyball Recap: Wynot Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Wynot entered their tilt with Creighton on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Wynot never let Creighton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Wynot got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenna Oligmueller out in front who had 12 kills, six digs, and six aces. Oligmueller has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Haley Wieseler, who had 32 assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Wynot was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Wynot's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Creighton, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Coming up, Wynot will head out to challenge Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Monday. As for Creighton, they will take on Winside at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.
