Football Preview: North Hall Trojans vs. East Hall Vikings
North Hall is 6-0 against East Hall since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Hall Trojans will host the East Hall Vikings at 7:30 p.m.
North Hall will head into Friday's game ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They came up short against Cherokee Bluff, falling 38-13. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Bears are ranked 115th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Smith Mcgarvey, who threw for 130 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
North Hall wouldn't let Cherokee Bluff keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Parker Carlton, Jake Clark, and Dalton Hulsey picked up one apiece. Hunter Robertson's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.
Meanwhile, East Hall put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 55-0 win over Johnson at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Vikings had established a 41 point advantage.
North Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Hall, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
