Soccer Recap: Lone Peak Finds Playoff Glory Versus Mountain Ridge

Lone Peak had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mountain Ridge Sentinels a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Lone Peak have won 11 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Mountain Ridge with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kate Fuller (2), Ivy Harding, and Sami Schiffman.

The victory (which was Lone Peak's 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 11 contests. As for Mountain Ridge, they moved to 16-5 with that loss, which also ended their 13-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lone Peak will square off against Syracuse at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
