Basketball Recap: Hoggard Has No Trouble Against Millbrook

The Hoggard Vikings strolled past the Millbrook Wildcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 70-54.

Hunter McGrath produced another solid performance going 10-for-18 en route to 26 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Will Seward, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Hoggard was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millbrook only racked up nine.

Millbrook lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Josh Conti, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Kuppinen, who posted ten points and three steals.

Hoggard now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Millbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Looking ahead, Hoggard will be playing in front of their home fans against East Duplin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millbrook, they will head out on the road to square off against Athens Drive at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
