Baseball Recap: Rosamond's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rosamond can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mammoth Huskies as the Rosamond Roadrunners made off with a 14-1 victory. The Roadrunners' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ayden Katuszonek made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Julian Pope Herdnandez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shawn Webb, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4.

Rosamond's record is now 2-7.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mammoth: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
