Baseball Recap: Centennial Cougars vs. Riverdale Warriors

Centennial lost against Riverdale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

Centennial got a good showing from Drew McAllister, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. McAllister has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eli Wells and Titus Cimarosti stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wells went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Cimarosti went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Centennial and nudges their season record down to 12-18. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Riverdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-14 record this season.
