Soccer Recap: Southern Wake Academy Comes Up Short

The Southern Wake Academy Lions came up short against The Burlington School on Tuesday, falling 7-3. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

They hit The Burlington School with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emerson Rhinehalt, Rachel Krings, and Gabriella Torri.

This is the second loss in a row for Southern Wake Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for The Burlington School, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Southern Wake Academy challenge Triangle Math & Science at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The Burlington School, they will welcome Clover Garden School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
