Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Casey-Westfield Warriors 63-29. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Warriors are ranked 496th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Casey-Westfield still got an impressive performance from Lucy Moore, who posted 14 points and three steals. That was a full 48.3% of Casey-Westfield's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Casey-Westfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
