Recap: Somerset Prep vs. Coral Springs Colts
Somerset Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-44 win over Coral Springs on the road. Somerset Prep might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 27 points or more this season.
Somerset Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Stoker out in front who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Stoker's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Gagnon, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
The win for Somerset Prep keeps them at an undefeated 13-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Coral Springs, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
Somerset Prep and Ridge View will face off at 3:35 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Ridge View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. Coral Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Broward at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. South Broward will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
