Basketball Recap: Reeves Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Reeves entered their matchup against Pitkin on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Reeves Raiders took a hard 74-56 fall against the Pitkin Tigers. The Raiders were probably out for revenge after losing 50-30 to them when the teams met back in November of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reeves' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Williams, who posted 11 points and four steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Guillory, who had nine points along with five boards and four steals.

Reeves' defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3. As for Pitkin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Reeves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 96-44 victory against Johnson Bayou on the 12th. As for Pitkin, they will square off against Westminster Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
