Softball Recap: Northwest Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Northwest was the 15-10 winner over Coldwater when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mounties took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Saturday.

Northwest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Bivens (2025), who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northwest's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Coldwater, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coldwater will take on rival Harper Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
