Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Nacogdoches

Marshall hasn't had much luck against Nacogdoches recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mavericks will be playing at home against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Marshall will be strutting in after a victory while Nacogdoches will be coming in after a loss.

Marshall will bounce into Friday's match after beating Whitehouse, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mavericks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Nacogdoches' offense. They fell just short of Mt. Pleasant by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Nacogdoches in their meetings with Mt. Pleasant: they've now lost three in a row.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-2. As for Nacogdoches, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2-4.
