Cape Fear Christian Academy entered their tilt with Kerr-Vance Academy on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Cape Fear Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 26-24.

Christianna Wynns paced Cape Fear Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Wynns got some help from Kylie Kessler and her 11 assists. Wynns was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got Cape Fear Christian Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.
