Basketball Recap: Corvallis Comes Up Short

Corvallis and South Albany squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Corvallis had to settle for second. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Albany Redhawks. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Redhawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for South Albany, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Corvallis has already played their next game, a 53-41 loss against Wilsonville on the 7th. As for South Albany, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-47 defeat against Crater on the 8th.
