Baseball Recap: Belle Chasse Takes a Loss

Belle Chasse was the 12-4 winner over Archbishop Shaw when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday.

Belle Chasse has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Archbishop Shaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belle Chasse will head out to face off against Willow at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Archbishop Shaw, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Charles Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
