Volleyball Recap: Canutillo Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Canutillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Paso Tigers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 16-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Canutillo still got an impressive performance from Sophia Ontiveros, who had 43 assists and five digs. Ontiveros is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 24 games she's played. Hailey Pedregon was another key player, getting 21 digs and one assist.

Canutillo's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for El Paso, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-12.
