Basketball Recap: Larned Comes Up Short

Larned lost against Haven back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Larned Indians took a blow against the Haven Wildcats, falling 65-21. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Larned has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. Haven pushed their record up to 16-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Larned won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hoisington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Haven, they and Hesston will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Hesston will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Haven surely won't give up without a fight.
