Recap: Belleview Rattlers vs. Mount Dora Hurricanes
The Belleview Rattlers won the last time they faced the Mount Dora Hurricanes, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Belleview claimed a resounding 52-14 victory over the Hurricanes at home. Given Belleview's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 505th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Belleview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah Armbrister out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Albanis Mogollon was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Belleview has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Mount Dora, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Belleview will take on the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Dora, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Legacy Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
