Basketball Recap: Constantine Comes Up Short

Constantine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Cassopolis Rangers and fell 62-20. The Falcons lost against the Rangers in their previous head to head back in February of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 77-63 score last time.

Cassopolis found their leader in sophomore Lucas Williams, who posted 22 points and six steals. Williams has become a key player for Cassopolis: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 6-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tre Peterson Evans, who earned 13 points and four steals.

Constantine's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Cassopolis, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Constantine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cassopolis, they will take on Bridgman in a tournament on Wednesday. Bridgman will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cassopolis surely won't give up without a fight.
