Basketball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

St. Charles suffered their biggest loss since January 14th on Wednesday. They lost 59-34 to the Laingsburg Wolfpack. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Bulldogs' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the loss, St. Charles still got an impressive performance from Allison Zelinko, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 13 points and six steals. Zelinko is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Laingsburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles will take on Coleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Laingsburg, they will be playing at home against Bath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
