Baseball Recap: Union County Starts Season with Loss at Home

Union County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 10-6 to the Trinity Catholic Celtics on Monday. The Fightin' Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Celtics apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Jeffrey Brugh made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-4. DEVIN DIGGS was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Coming up, Union County will welcome Baker County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Catholic, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
