Softball Recap: Southwestern Takes a Loss

Southwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-4 to the East Dubuque Warriors. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Abigail Foley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East Dubuque, they pushed their record up to 1-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwestern is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Platteville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Dubuque, they will challenge Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
