Basketball Recap: Sylacauga Takes a Loss

Sylacauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shelby County Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 two weeks ago.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Shelby County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylacauga won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Talladega at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelby County, they and Vincent will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
