Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay Comes Up Short

Half Moon Bay blew University out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday University got their revenge. Half Moon Bay fell just short of University by a score of 2-0. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Half Moon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for University, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Half Moon Bay will challenge Sequoia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sequoia's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Half Moon Bay's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for University, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Marin Academy at 4:00 p.m.
