Volleyball Recap: Laconia Spartans vs. Nekoosa Papermakers
Laconia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Nekoosa Papermakers 3-0 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their 15th in a row.
Laconia never let Nekoosa on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-15.
Addison Mccauley paced Laconia's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mccauley got some help from
Mariska Kees and her 26 assists.
Eva Engel controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Laconia's victory bumped their record up to 27-2. As for Nekoosa, they moved to 21-14 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Laconia has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Aquinas on the 2nd. Nekoosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
