Recap: Mt. Vernon Wildcats vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs
The Mt. Vernon Wildcats won the last time they faced the Harrisburg Bulldogs, and things went their way on Monday too. Mt. Vernon took down Harrisburg 68-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mt. Vernon.
It was another big night for Nicot Burnett, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Schickel, who scored 13 points.
The win got Mt. Vernon back to even at 6-6. As for Harrisburg, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Mt. Vernon on the road again on Thursday and play against Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Harrisburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Carmi-White County at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
