After a string of nine wins, Gilmer County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the James Monroe Mavericks. The shutout was out of character for the Titans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Gilmer County's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6-1. As for James Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8-2 record this season.
