Volleyball Recap: Ava Whitmarsh and Hayden Sliva Secure Win for Millard North

Millard North won the last time they faced Omaha Central, and Sarah Faust did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday for which the team can thank Faust, who had seven aces and five digs. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Millard North took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-12.

Millard North was led to victory by Hayden Sliva and Ava Whitmarsh. Sliva had ten digs and four assists, while Whitmarsh had five digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Whitmarsh a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Millard North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Millard North has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Omaha Central, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-11.
