College Park kept a clean sheet against New Caney on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past the New Caney Eagles 1-0. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Eagles are ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

College Park's one-goal win came courtesy of Jayme Bialik, who's now up to 13 this season.

The victory made it two in a row for College Park and bumps their season record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for New Caney, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, College Park and New Caney will both be playing Conroe the next time they take the pitch. College Park will head out to face Conroe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while New Caney will host them at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th.
