Softball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

Hudson lost against Pasco back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hudson Cobras fell 5-2 to the Pasco Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Cobras have lost by exactly three runs.

Hudson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Anderson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Anderson scored this season.

Hudson is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Pasco, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Hudson and Pasco could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Hudson (ranked 361st) will meet Dunedin (ranked 143rd) at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. Hudson has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Meanwhile, Pasco will face off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th down 262 places (397 vs. 135).
